An early morning chat leads to charges, Mackay

At 4:25 am on July 15, it’s alleged that police patrolling Milton Street, Mackay located a 37-year-old South Mackay man in relation to another matter.

During the course of a conversation with officers, it’s alleged that police conducted a pat down search of the man and also a search of his carry bag. Police are alleged to have found a number of items in his possession including a key suspected of unlocking pokie machines, a home-made balaclava, a small metallic torch and a viagra pill.

The man was arrested and charged with allegedly breaking into a premises and committing an indictable offence, possessing implements of house-breaking, unlawful possession of a restricted drug and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.

He will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on August 14 to have the matters heard.
